Yea, was that a beta-Wintersday or something?
As I started GW about a week before the first official one (Yule cap/Horns of Grenth. People dying and bone minions spouting..)

I also agree the old Teleporters look better.
Those Res Shrines (?) in the guild battle, using the UW starting platform looks also better, and tie a bit more into Lore.

And is this Beta Rurik?

Sort of. It wasn't the actual event yet but a build on the alpha server a few weeks before the first Wintersday event.

Yup. Rurik looked much like a regular paladin with special armor before retail.

Yeah, imo Best Screeny was at Guildwars release (i think?) with pre-sear ascalon ~200 districts

Thanks for sharing these pics with us, they look funny to me because i started 6 months ago so i never saw the old GW. I do agree, Guild Wars is probably the best game i ever bought, I met so much great people from my guild to talking to people in GtoB.
